CTC.CIC started with one women's heart.
Mum asked, if we had the strength, she would like us to continue with her dream. Of course! It wasn’t an option to decline and our promise to her has never broken. Keeping mum’s legacy alive gave us comfort and strength to deal with the loss of losing our mum and as sisters we continue her dream by providing home help packages and to help those who need it in our community.
Over the years Community Treasure Chest has grown through our own inspiration, creatively and compassion too. ..
- In June 2016 – CTC became CTC.CIC – a non-profit organisation.
- 2018 – Started the Christmas Toy and hamper appeal
- 2019 – We launched Liskeard Community Fridge
- 2022 – Closed for 9 months refurbishment
- July 2023 – Reopened, expanded and rebranded, introduced membership and our new reworked clothing range
- October 2023 – our first swap shop
- November 2023 – became a referral agent for Liskeard and Looe food bank
- Dec 2023 – Christmas Pop-Up shop and LCF food hampers
- Jan 2024 – LCF membership introduced and increased opening hours
- Feb 2024 – launched the workspace and scrapperdashery
- April 2024 – launched our thrift range
- Sept 2024 – introduced Tool Library and Hire Hub
So now with a splash of all our hearts including yours, our community, we are proud to present Community Treasure Chest CIC, Liskeard’s community recycling hub.
CTC.CIC has become Liskeard’s Community Hub by also supporting and networking with local charities, businesses and attending local events. We are happy to donate items needed for a project, offer raffle prizes or promote your event.
In December 2022 we were even awarded the Community Campion award!
